Health Information Systems

What is a health information system?

A Health Information System (HIS) is a single electronic health record system for your care in our six partner organizations.

It gives you secure access to your medical records from our partner organizations so you can view your information, upcoming appointments, test results and educational resources.

Our healthcare teams will be able to access your medical history without you having to remember and repeat this information at every visit.  They will be able to use our new health information system to easily add information about your appointments, your treatments and your test results.

Safer, timely care:

  • Less use of paper and handwritten notes

  • Barcode scanning of medications to reduce errors

  • Shared information across our six partner organizations

  • Easy look-up of appointment notes to share with caregivers or family members

  • More time for care, instead of asking and answering the same questions at each appointment

  • Consistent practices – one login, one record and one system for more reliable and efficient care

Lumeo gives you access to your medical record through our HealtheLife Portal! You’ll be able to view your medical history, treatments, and appointments, and add important information such as new medications or allergies.

What to expect:

  • We’ll spend less time asking you to repeat your health history and more time talking about you and your care.

  • You may notice more technology being used at your appointment, such as mobile workstations, smart phones and barcoding equipment. This technology is secure and helps us capture your information directly into your medical record.

  • You’ll be able to review your appointments, treatments, test results and medications prescribed through our Lumeo HealtheLife portal.
